Soft Power and Social Equality

The Eighth Annual American Studies Meeting took place from September 23 to 25, 2011 at Northeast Normal University in Changchun, Jilin, China.

Sonya Michel, Professor of History at the University of Maryland, College Park, and Senior Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars; and Brie Loskota, managing director of the Center for Religion and Civic Culture at the University of Southern California, along with several prominent Chinese scholars headlined the conference. Some 50 papers were presented during concurrent sessions that were thematically divided into four main tracks: theoretical studies, foreign policy, social equality, and culture.

第八届美国研究联络会会议于2011年9月23-25日在中国吉林省长春市东北师范大学召开。马里兰大学学院市分校(University of Maryland, College Park)的历史学教授、Woodrow Wilson国际学者中心高级学者Sonya Michel、南加州大学(University of Southern California)宗教与公民文化中心常务董事Brie Loskota以及许多杰出的中国学者们参加了会议。50篇论文在同时进行的会议中提出的,会议主题分为四个主要部分:理论研究、外交政策、社会平等、文化。
